About Us
I created Concussion Rehab: A Comprehensive Approach to address a critical gap in clinician education around concussion injury and recovery. Drawing on my PhD research in sports-related concussion—particularly in controlled early exercise and vestibular-ocular-motor (VOM) rehabilitation—I developed this CPD course to help rehabilitation professionals move beyond passive recovery models and toward active, evidence-based care.
The course is designed to be practical, accessible, and immediately applicable in clinical settings. It equips clinicians with the tools and confidence to assess VOM dysfunction, initiate targeted rehabilitation, and support athletes through every stage of recovery.
My goal is to empower practitioners with the knowledge and strategies they need to manage concussion more effectively—and to raise the standard of care for athletes navigating this complex injury.

More about Dr. Kerry Glendon
Like most clinicians, talking about myself does not come easy, but here are a few things about my experience you may want to know......
Clinical Experience
I qualified from Keele University in 2007 and began my career in NHS out‑patient services. I moved into sport in 2013 at St George’s Park with Perform and the Football Association, which really shaped my interest in athlete health and performance.
In 2016, I joined Loughborough University as lead physiotherapist for Men’s Rugby, and since then I’ve also worked with triathlon, TASS, and now the hockey programmes, alongside supporting many other Loughborough Sport teams.
Sports Concussion Experience
The contact nature of rugby union meant I encountered concussion injuries regularly, and that really sparked my curiosity about how we could improve recovery outcomes. That interest pushed me to deepen my knowledge and skills in concussion management.
Through my research and my clinical work treating many concussion cases, I’ve developed specialist expertise in this area. I now consult on concussion injury management and also accept private referrals.
Concussion Research
My research has mainly focused on early aerobic exercise rather than physical rest. The rehabilitation protocols we developed have been adopted by other centres. My research also investigated the effect of vestibular-ocular-motor dysfunction on recovery and developed a self-rated tool to measure the affect of concussion on academic ability.
My current work continues to build on this, with ongoing research into rehabilitation approaches, self‑directed management through an app, and the development of further evidence‑based rehabilitation protocols.
You can see more of my research here.
Teaching Experience
I’ve taught across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare and sport science modules at Loughborough University, the University of Central Lancashire, and the University of Derby.
I’ve also supported the delivery of concussion assessment training for a World Rugby research project and carried out post‑injury assessments as part of their studies. Alongside this, I’ve delivered workshops for a national governing body, TASS, and Manchester City.
I’m regularly invited to deliver workshops and seminars, and I now feel it’s the right time to offer this teaching directly to clinicians.
